Signing #Books at #Mashpee Commons Sidewalk #Sale! #Romantic #Suspense Cape Cod #Reading #Paranormal #Ghost #Mystery

accompanies the article "Ghost
Stories Meet Love Stories"

I'm thrilled to have been invited to sign my books at the Mashpee Commons Block Party on June 24th!  All seven of my titles, most set on Cape Cod, will be available for purchase at the wonderful Market Street Bookshop, and I'll be at a table outside to chat and sign books! If you’re on Cape Cod for the weekend, the summer, or year-round, come by and browse some new beach reads!  And signed books make both great gifts and great souvenirs of your time on the Cape.  You can find the book store on, you guessed it…Market Street…right next to Trevi Restaurant and the big fountain.  If you've never visited the Commons, you're in for a treat, it's a beautiful and quaint spot right in the heart of Mashpee.

In addition to the sidewalk sales, the Block Party includes live music featuring the all-women a cappella group Cape Harmony, giveaways, face painting, and balloon twisting!

Market Street Bookshop, and my community, have really supported me since my first novel was published in 2012.  The owner of the book store named one of my novels, Dangerous Currents, as a Recommended Summer Read in Cape Cod's IN SEASON Magazine.  Two of my novels, Silver Lake and Gull Harbor, have been chosen by local book clubs and featured on the shop's book clubs shelves.  My books can also be found up front on the shelves dedicated to Cape Cod, and I've done numerous book signings there.  Our local paper has written an article on every single one of my books.  I am so grateful for all the support.

The Block Party fun will be ongoing from 11:00 - 3:00 (Cape Harmony will perform from noon to 2 pm).  For more information click here  📚 🎵 🎈 🎉 Hope to see you there!

A New Release Date + Virtual #Author Event for GHOST MOON! #books #newrelease #amreading #amwriting #giveaways

More than ever, we need things we can enjoy from home that will entertain us and provide relaxation.  I love reading--it's my favorite hobby even when the world isn't mostly shut down.  Getting lost in a great book does wonders for my mind and lowers my stress.  Since my seventh novel, Ghost Moon, was in the final stages of galley proofing a few weeks ago, I decided to try to move the release date forward to make it available sooner.  The title will go live on Kindle now this Friday, April 3rd...a whole 12 days earlier than anticipated!  I'm thrilled but scrambling to move book launch plans into place, and also figure out how to do more interactive things online.

I LOVE this cover!

If you like steamy romance mixed with haunting mysteries, you can pre-order Ghost Moon here to automatically be delivered to your Kindle on Friday!  I also have six titles available now, many #1 Amazon and B&N Bestsellers, which can be found here or along the tabs at the top of this blog page.

On Wednesday, April 1st, I'll be doing my first live FB interview and Q&A as a guest on Linda's Book Obsession Page.  Anyone attending can type questions and I'll answer them, plus I'll chat a little bit about my writing journey and the new book.  And of course...giveaways will be up for grabs!  Find the page here and join us on Wed. at 7 pm EST!

Join the virtual party with fellow book lovers!

#Authors...Need More #Reviews? Join the Winter Games Event! #writerslife #writingcommunity #amwriting

Winter Games begins Feb. 1!
Consumers often rely on reviews when making purchases...I know I do!  And on retail sites, products--including novels--with more reviews usually receive the most visibility in searches.  A reader can't even consider choosing a title they've never even seen or heard of, and the book market gets more crowded by the day.  A new title gets added to Amazon approximately every five minutes.

On Amazon, the largest online retailer for e-books with 88.9% of the market (Bloomberg), only about 5 to 10% of consumers leave reviews after a purchase.  Everyone is busy, and I know even if I love a product, I often never get around to leaving a review.  (One of my resolutions is to do better with this!)

Enter Winter Games...an event that brings readers who review together with participating authors for a month-long event.  I was one of the authors in the Summer event, and I had such a great time, I wanted to spread the word to both interested authors *and* readers for this upcoming winter version.

Full details, FAQs, and sign-up forms can be found on our host's website here.

Direct link to Author sign-up is here

Direct link to Reader sign-up is here

One important note...a Facebook account is required, even if it's not a very active account.  The events, book offerings, and communication all take place in the FB group.

And while there's no limit to reader participation, there *is* a max number of authors, so if you're interested, hurry!

Literacy Night in Dennis-Yarmouth! #CapeCod #Author Event #Books #Barnstable

Forbidden First Love and Supernatural
Secrets in DIVINE FALL
I'm excited to be a part of the upcoming celebration of reading at the Dennis-Yarmouth High School this weekend!  Discover New Worlds at the Library will take place on Friday evening, March 29th, from 5 - 7 pm.  This is a free event open to all ages and communities, and the theme of the night is Sci-Fi and Outer Space (costumes optional!).

I will be part of the Author Panel, answering questions and signing books.  While my books aren't considered Science Fiction, I do home my stories take readers to new worlds...including some supernatural worlds, as most of my novels have paranormal elements.  Since this is a school-sponsored event, I'll be highlighting my Young Adult novel, DIVINE FALL, which is an award-winning Paranormal Romance featuring revenge, romance, and a rogue fallen angel.  If you've never heard of the half-human, half angel Nephilim, check out the book's blurb below!

Some of the other exhibits and guests!
I'm excited to see some of my Cape author friends at this event - at the table with me will be K.R. Conway, author of the Urban Fantasy series UNDERTOW, Mick Carlon, author of GIRL SINGER and other books featuring history and music, and Jim Hill, author of an upcoming graphic novel.  So there will be plenty of new worlds to visit, both fictional and real!

Join us from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dennis Yarmouth High School, 210 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.

If you're nowhere near Cape Cod, you can still check out the titles by following the links!  DIVINE FALL is available on Kindle, Nook, and iTunes for only 99 cents!  Check out the blurb below, and hope to see Cape Codders on Friday night!

After tragedy tears Jamie Brandt’s life apart, her only goal is to finish high school so she can leave her small hometown behind.  In the meantime, riding her horse is her main source of solace, until a mysterious stable hand shows up at the barn.  There’s something not quite right about the handsome new employee, and the more Jamie sees of him, the more determined she becomes to figure out what he’s hiding.
Dothan Reed came to historic Huntsville, Maryland, for one reason—revenge.  But his plan can’t move forward until he finds the missing piece he needs to enhance his powers.  As the only surviving Nephilim, Dothan is not only weaker than full-blooded angels; his forbidden lineage makes him an outcast in both worlds.  When he discovers Jamie is the key to locating an ancient weapon, he’s forced to interact with a vulnerable human girl—a task that becomes more appealing with each encounter.

Jamie soon learns Dothan isn’t the only one with a dark secret.  Each new revelation further threatens her safety, and Dothan’s betrayal shatters her heart.  Forgiving him seems impossible, but the thought of turning her back on him is equally painful.

As their connection deepens, Dothan will have to make his own difficult choice: continue on his path of vengeance, or protect the girl he loves.  And when Dothan’s actions thrust Jamie into an unforeseen danger, he must seek the help of his enemy…or risk losing her forever.

#Book Signing in #Mashpee! #CapeCod Holiday Fair Cape Cod

The holiday season is a busy one for small business owners, and I will be at several events this month with my novels...a signed book makes a great gift!  This Saturday, Dec. the 8th, I'll be at an Open House and Holiday Bizarre in Mashpee.

The gym where I work (my day job, lol) is hosting this event from 11:00 - 3:00, and while it's a women's gym, this event is open to ALL, men shopping for gifts, non-members, etc., so come on by if you're in the area!  The Fit Co. is at 302 Main St. in Mashpee (Rt. 130).

I'll have my book table set up, and I can sign and personalize copies of any of my novels--a great and thoughtful gift, for yourself (we all deserve to de-stress during the holidays, and what better way than shutting the outside world down, putting your feet up, and getting lost in a page-turning story?) or for the readers on your list.  Two of my romance/ghost stories are set on Cape Cod (GULL HARBOR is set in the Wellfleet area, HAUNTED SOULS in Barnstable Village), which is a nice local tie-in, and Gull Harbor is both a #1 Amazon Bestseller and a #1 Barnes and Noble Bestseller!  My latest romantic suspense novel, DANGEROUS CURRENTS, will be available as well, and that is also set on Cape Cod, in a fictional representation of Mashpee.

Ahhh....bliss!  The best thing about reading is that you can't
think about anything else while you're doing it!  The only
multi-tasking needed is putting up your feet and sipping a beverage!

And if you're shopping for a younger reader, I do have one Young Adult book, DIVINE FALL...a traditional paranormal romance filled with forbidden love and supernatural secrets, appropriate for ages 13 and up.

Oak Blush
Another one of our gym employees also has another business (Cape Cod Nail Company) and she'll be setting up a table as well, raffling off packages and offering specials.  Her company is unique in that she will travel to YOU for group events (bridal parties, ladies night out, etc.).  And she recently started her own line of nail polish, which makes a perfect stocking stuffer!  The logo on the bottle features the familiar outline of the Cape, and the names are plays on our local spots and sayings ("Oak Blush" instead of Oak Bluffs, "We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat", a nod to Jaws being filmed here on Martha's Vineyard as well as the recent influx of great white sharks in our waters!)

We'll have other vendors as well (jewelry, clothing, etc.), food and drink, membership specials, salon, facial, and massage specials, gift certificates, and raffles, with proceeds going to Toy for Tots.  Hope to see you there!

Visit Cape Cod in Dangerous Currents and get lost in a
steamy second-chance romance filled with secrets and suspense!

Author Panel + #Book Signing #Hyannis! #YA #CapeCod #amwriting Cape Cod

A lot has been going on in my writing life this past week!  I had an Author Panel last Thursday evening at Bourne Library, as part of their Beach Buddy Book Club summer program (my Young Adult Paranormal Romance, Divine Fall, was one of their picks).  Friday, a fabulous article came out in a local newspaper, with an interview about my new Romantic Suspense release, Dangerous Currents.  Saturday, I did a book signing at Market Street Bookshop, and admittedly, the rainy weather resulted in a great day for me, as Mashpee Commons, where the book store is located, was mobbed with shoppers who couldn't visit the beach that day.  I hope that everyone who purchased one of my books took the opportunity to put their feet up, relax, and get lost in steamy romance, secrets, and page-turning suspense!

Cape Cod Teen Writers Conference is FREE!
Please help support the conference by joining
us at the Author Panel and Book Signing on 8/8
Tomorrow, I'm thrilled to be a guest instructor at the second annual Cape Cod Teen Writers Conference in Hyannis.  I was part of the conference last year, and this year, it's completely sold out!  I love sharing my passion with aspiring authors, and I'm going to discuss Goal, Motivation, and Conflict, as well as the hook and the inciting incident.

After the conference wraps up on Wednesday, I'll be back for the Author Panel.  This is open to the public with a ticket purchase, and tickets sales will go toward offsetting the conference expenses, as it is offered FREE to the teens who sign up!

So if you're in the area and interested in chatting with a group of authors (all of us write Young Adult novels, many, like myself, also write other genres) please join us!  Bring your questions on writing, publishing, etc., and find some new reads as well.  Tickets can be purchased at this link:  Eventbrite.  The event scheduled for August 8th from 1:00 to 4:00 and will be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Hyannis, near the Cape Cod Mall.  Hope to see you there!

Revenge, Romance, and a Rogue Fallen Angel...
DIVINE FALL is the winner of The Romance Review's Best YA Romance 2015!

Market Street Bookshop,
a wonderful local book store!
Another event in my busy summer!  I’ll be signing copies of my new release, DANGEROUS CURRENTS, a Romantic Suspense set on Cape Cod, at Market Street Bookshop in Mashpee Commons on Saturday, August 4th, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  All my older titles will be available for sale and signing as well…SILVER LAKE and GULL HARBOR, both #1 Amazon Bestsellers, DIVINE FALL, an award-winning Young Adult Paranormal Romance, and HAUNTED SOULS, a ghost mystery/romance voted a Top 3 Read of 2016.  If you’re on Cape Cod for the weekend, or the summer, or year-round, come by and get some new beach reads!

Steamy Second-Chance Romance filled with Secrets and Suspense...DANGEROUS CURRENTS
