Want to get free books for a month and an entry into a $200 gift card giveaway for each one you read? As promised, I have info on a huge month-long Read to Review Event beginning in July with a grand prize of a $200 gift card! If you enjoy free books, we'd love to have you join the event. We have 40 authors contributing one book each, so there will be lots of titles to choose from, and every review you post gets you entered into multiple giveaways throughout the month...plus the big grand prize $200 one!
How it works: You sign up to be a reader and join our month-long event Facebook page (If you're not on FB we have other options, just contact me). Between July 15 and August 15, groups of books--all with romantic elements, but beyond that, many sub-genres and lengths--will be released for review, and the participating readers will choose the titles they are interested in reading. The book is delivered for *free*, and once a reader finishes a book and posts the review to Amazon, Bookbub, and Goodreads, they gain an entry into the grand prize drawing and may choose another book. By the end of the month, 40+ titles will have been made available for review. The more books read/reviews posted, the more entries for the $200 grand prize, but there are also lots of smaller prizes ($5 and $10 gift cards, signed print books, swag, etc.) that your reviews allow you to enter. We also have author meet-and-greets and games.
The title I'm entering is The Haunting of Hillwood Farm, so you could pick this ghost mystery/romantic suspense as one of your free reads if you like some spooky romance ~ this long novella won Best Romantic Suspense of 2018 at N.N. Light's Book Heaven, was named one of the Top 40 Paranormal Romances out there by Reedsy, and recently advanced as a Finalist in Paranormal in InD'Tale Magazine's prestigious RONE Awards. An exciting few months for my 6th novel!

Audio #Book Tour, #Review Wars, + #NetGalley! Busy #amwriting week
A tremendously busy week begins today, and I'm excited, nervous, and trying to keep up while also doing everything else that needs to be done, like my other job, feeding kids and pets, laundry, etc. Wish me luck!
Today, Sunday, kicks off a week-long blog tour for Gull Harbor, a steamy romance mixed with a haunting mystery. This title has been out for a while as both a print and a #1 Bestselling e-book, but it's brand new as an audio book, thanks to my publisher's decision to enter this growing market. I'm very excited, as I listen to audio books all the time now, and it helps me get through twice as many books on my To-Be-Read list.
After 5 novels and 7 years in this business, I'm having trouble believing this is my first book tour ever. So far, I'm really enjoying it! Gull Harbor received two new reviews today, both of which made me smile! Page Princess gave it 5 *s and said, "I was actually kind of sad when I got to the end of this story. Not because it doesn't have an HEA (Happily Ever After). It does. The story is more than wonderful. I just didn't want to leave this world, this town, and these people. So let me tell you about my friends." Happy dance! See the entire review here.
The Book Junkie Reads said, "you get that heart-pounding intensity of drama with this paranormal romantic suspense with a mystery of flavor sprinkled in by the various twists and turns that are presented. You could feel the skin chill and the goose bumps rise with the way things were unfolding." And for the fabulous narrator, Kristin James, "There was something in the quality of her voice that drew you in and allowed one to feel connected." Read the entire review here.
The entire audio book tour schedule for Gull Harbor can be found here. Hope readers and listeners will stop by along the way and support all these great sites! I'll be visiting and chatting at each site as well. To grab your own copy of Gull Harbor on Audible (if you're just joining, you can get it FREE!), find it here.
In my other writerly news, my latest release, Dangerous Currents, was selected to be reviewed by The Reading Review Wars, a site offering not one but two reviews of the same book, from His and Hers points of view. I've been waiting nearly a month to see what everyone has to say, and the "war" goes live tomorrow, with a guest author serving as a judge to declare which reviewer does a better job defending their position on the plot, characterization, and writing style. Look for it to go live tomorrow, Monday the 11th, here. I hope for a lively discussion!
Dangerous Currents is a steamy second-chance romance filled with secrets and suspense, set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod. In other words, an excellent beach read! You can grab a copy on Amazon or, if you're a Net Galley reviewer, this title will be available to request until 6/15, and you can find it here. Thanks for stopping by! Now, back to that manuscript that's due to release in November...

Review Wars #Book Discussion goes live 6/11 - Read Along! #Romance #Suspense #NetGalley #amreading
I'm over the moon that my new Romantic Suspense release, Dangerous Currents, has been picked to be reviewed at Reading Review Wars, a site that offers His and Hers viewpoints in dual reviews of the same book! This is a steamy second-chance romance, filled with suspense and secrets, set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod...a perfect beach read to get ready for the summer--so read along with us and join the conversation to see which review matches up with your feelings on the plot, world building, and overall writing style. The "War" goes live on Monday, June 11, so you can make it your weekend read...in fact, the first three editorial reviews that have come in have called it a pretty quick read:
"The suspense of who-done-it leaves you on the edge of your seat." (Forget the Housework, I'm Reading)
"I found myself being pulled into the story at the beginning and never coming up for air until I finished the entire book." (A Soccer Mom's Book Blog)
"The tension that runs through Kathryn Knight's words, each scene and page, is razor-sharp...I love a story where I can honestly say 'I didn't see THAT coming!'" (Tome Tender Book Reviews)
And, if you're a Net Galley reviewer, this title is up for request until 6/15, so you can grab your own review copy here. One fateful night tore them apart...will they get a second chance before a killer strikes?

When a costly mistake ends Malorie Montgomery’s career, she returns to Cape Cod in search of a fresh start. But her plans for a new—and quiet—life are quickly derailed when she makes a grisly discovery in the woods, and her screams bring the one person from her past she’d hoped to avoid. Dean Slater, the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart in high school, now lives in the beachfront community that was supposed to be her haven…and he’s just as hot as he was six years ago.
With his rough background, Dean always knew he wasn’t good enough for the kind, intelligent beauty who claimed his heart, but somehow he’d believed their love was strong enough to survive anything—until the tragic night she turned her back on him when he needed her trust the most. Despite their painful history, Dean can’t resist the instinct to protect her, especially when it becomes apparent there’s a killer in their town.
Their former chemistry soon reignites, but Malorie has long accepted that her dark family secret has destined her to a life alone. And when she uncovers evidence that makes her the killer’s target, a deadly confrontation threatens to destroy any possibility of a second chance.

Dangerous Currents on #NetGalley! Second-chance #Romance filled w/ Secrets + #Suspense
My new release, Dangerous Currents, is now available on Net Galley! This is a steamy second-chance romance, filled with suspense and secrets, set on the sandy shores of Cape Cod...a perfect beach read! If you're a Net Galley reviewer, I hope you'll check out the blurb below and request the title here if you're interested. Dangerous Currents is a Reading Review Wars pick~ Read along this #MemorialDayWeekend! #books
![]() |
Love seeing my cover next to some very well-known Cape Cod authors! |
Am I nervous about this opportunity? Absolutely. There is absolutely no guarantee either reader (or any commentators) will like the book. Especially daunting is the fact that the book before me was an instant #1 NYT Bestseller. But, I value feedback and can only hope that overall the story provided hours of page-turning, suspenseful (and steamy) entertainment. That's why I do what I do...nothing makes me happier than escaping the stresses of life with a great book. Hopefully Dangerous Currents will provide the same thing to readers looking to relax with a beach read!
